Webinar: Finding, Ranking, and Segmenting Scientific Expertise
On October 9, 2013 from 12 – 1 pm EDT, the Global Health Knowledge Collaborative held a webinar focused on tracking and measuring influence in scientific communities. “Finding, Ranking, and Segmenting Scientific Expertise” was part of a series of lunchtime webinars held by GHKC.
Ryan Peeler of Lnx Research (http://www.lnxpharma.com/) presented an overview of how large-scale social network analytics works. Lnx Research measures influence in scientific and research communities through social network analysis. Pharma, biotech, and medical device companies use Lnx Research analytics to identify thought leaders and understand communities of science in both the lab and clinical settings. Ranking and segmentation from network analytics provides valuable insight into how to more effectively spread information through networks.
