Webinar: Making Knowledge Usable and Managing Knowledge
On April 22, 2014, from 12 noon – 1pm ET, the GHKC hosted a webinar that looked at some knowledge management basics: Making Knowledge Usable and Managing Knowledge Across Boundaries.
These two topics were part of the lively and well-attended “Cooking up Knowledge Management (KM): Recipes for Practitioners” session at the recent Global Health Mini-University. Making Knowledge Usable discusses the underpinnings of effective knowledge exchange--the “how to chop an onion” skills of the KM Kitchen. Managing Knowledge across Boundaries addresses practical approaches to overcoming barriers--of culture, of language, of technology--to connecting and sharing knowledge and information.
Speakers for the webinar included:
- Simone Parrish, Knowledge for Health (K4Health) Project, JHU·CCP
- Patricia Mantey, WASHplus Project, FHI 360
